Custom WIP Cobra Commander

Image
Ok so recently I've acquired a few 25th Anniversary Gi Joe Cobra Commander figures and now I'm playing around with some ideas for a unique custom Cobra Commander. Here's one that's on my desk right now... Notice that none of the 4 pegs broke when I split this gi joe torso. That's about as perfectly as torso splitting can be done folks! Those pegs will fit together perfectly and with a little special glue this torso will fit together more strongly than it did when it left the factory. I'm using 25th anniversary Croc Master  upper arms to create a Roid Rage Cobra Commander. He looks a little top heavy with these arms though. I'm thinking of adding some muscular marvel universe legs to balance this out. Well this is as far as I got with my Custom Cobra Commander today. I need to get some more parts before I go any further. I would like to get my hands on a 30th anniversary gi joe renegeades CC head but my stores are sold out. :(

Sexy White Dress SHE-HULK

Image
WHITE DRESS SHE-HULK This is the first She-Hulk made by yours truly. Some of you may have seen her already as she was originally posted on my custom gi joe site a few months ago. I thought she would make a nice addition here along with the other custom marvel figures . NOTE: GD I meant to post this on my marvel site! Oh well. When I started this custom is when I fell head over hills for using the marvel universe female body for the base figure for my customs. I like the fact that there are no screws in this figure. It's really hard to say which of She-Hulks I've customized is my favorite. So far I've done 3 different oufits for the green she-hulk : Fantastic Four She-Hulk Purple & White outfit She-Hulk White Dress She-Hulk

Organizing Custom Figures

I've been doing a lot of customizing lately and it's mostly been within the Marvel Universe. As some of you may have noticed that this blog's url is customgijoefigures.blogspot.com and that the key phrase is "custom gi joe figures". That being the case, I took it upon myself to create another blogspot for my marvel custom action figures to better organize things. Yeah it probably would've been easier to just continue posting all of my customs on this site, but hey I'm a neat freak sometimes and this is one of them. I just thought I would give you guys a heads up.

Custom Carly from Dark Side of the Moon Transformers 3

Image
Custom Carly DOTM Rosie Huntington-Whitely Custom (Rosie Huntington Whitely in white dress from Transformers 3) After making the end of the movie action Carly in the white coat and grey jeggins, I was asked to make the white dress Carly from Transformers Dark Side of the Moon. To my knowledge, I'm the first to have made a 3 3/4 inch version of Carly. I sculpted her hair using greenstuff putty. I sculpted her dress and her breasts using the same type of putty (greenstuff). I realize that she is showing more cleavage than in the movie, but wanted to show an element of her from the modeling world. She is quiet busty in her victoria's secret photos.

Custom Marvel Figure Elektra Natchios

Image
I'm going to add this custom marvel Elektra Natchios figure to my other custom figures on ebay this week. She was customized from gi joe Rise of Cobra Baroness and 25th anniversary gi joe box set Baroness. I sculpted her breasts with blue and yellow kneadatite or "greenstuff".

Custom Battle Damaged Jungle BAT

Image
Battle Damaged Jungle BAT I used a 25th anniversary gi joe BAT figure for this custom. It is basically a repaint with battle damage done to the chest and face shield.     I originally painted it to look like a Resolute Gi Joe figure, hence the predominate black with red color scheme. I thought that that would be a little to bland so I gave him some camo and battle damage to make him stand out.   Then I customized his weapons to match his new look. The backpack used to be the standard gray but now it's olive. I also did some shadowing on his arm attachements to define the metal look further. I'm rather proud of how natural the scarring on his face shield looks as well as the realistic looking bullet holes in his chest.

Custom Gi Joe Agent Sonja

Image
Introducing Gi Joe Special Agent "Sonja"     In person and in hand this figure is even more striking than in the photos. I really wish that I had a better camera but will have to make do with what I've got. Her hair is brighter and more coral in person and is visually striking against the blue shirt she's wearing. Her eyes are also blue and they really pop against the contrast of her hair and shirt.     Superior paint job on this figure if I do say so myself. The pants look awesome as well. I thought about creating more of a bust line for this custom figure but decided against it as she is already busty, sexy female custom gi joe figure .

Custom GI Joe Figure Crimson Enforcer

Image
Introducing Custom GI Joe Figure "Crimson Enforcer" I put a lot of detail into this figure as you can see. I really like how the white makes Crimson Enforcer pop against the white and crimson. By focusing your attention on his neck you can tell that he is a muscular man beneath the mask and gear.             I also gave him a couple of really cool custom gi joe weapon accessories with night vision scopes. I think that this figure looks menacing with bright red eyes peering from a monsterous mask. He doesn't look quiet human, definitely not someone you would want to run into in a dark alley.

Custom Gi Joe Acid Viper

Image
Hi guys! I told you guys I had been making custom figures left and right. I named this figure after his weapon - his gun is hooked up to a back pack filled with acid that sprays at high velocity at his opponents. Hence the name Acid Viper.   I used three primary figure to make Acid Viper. He has Major Blood's legs, Neo Viper's torso and arms, Cobra Hiss Driver's head. For the accessories I took them from Neo Viper, Crimson Guard, and Kickstart. (Check out the awesome paint job on his pants!) All custom action figures listed on the site are for sale unless specified otherwise. So if you wish to purchase any of my customs you can reach me via email or by commenting below.

Custom Berserker Boris

Image
Berserker Boris is yet another new addition to my personal Gi Joe universe. He lost his right arm in battle and had it replaced with a robtic prosthesis which he can attach either a hand or flamethrower to depending on the situation. His other weapons include a knife and a machine gun. Boris alwasy wears a bullet proof chest protector and helmet. This is an awesome custom figure and is currently for sale.

Gi Joe Custom Figure: Rhaz Murdock

Image
I made this guy a few weeks ago. I thought he was pretty cool.   Rhaz is a dreadnok biker. His signature weapon is a sawed off shot gun and his back up weapon is a knife that he keeps just below his hip. Rhaz is also known for choking people in hand to hand combat. I've recently added a necklace to this figure that used to belong to Major Blood. Message or email me if you want to purchase this custom figure. SOLD

How to Crack a Gi Joe Torso

How to crack a Gi Joe torso without losing any parts: There are a couple of basic ways to split an action figure torso when you're customizing. One is to slice it open with an x-acto knife. The other way is to use a vise to allow the pressure to crack the torso. I absolutely prefer the vice method rather than the x-acto cutting method for many reasons. For starters, it is really dangerous to cut into hard plastic with an x-acto knife - especially when the object you're cutting into is a small toy. You could injure yourself real quick like doing this. Besides risking damage to yourself, you also run the risk of creating a wider gap that can be problematic when you try to glue the torso together later on for another custom figure. So I don't recommend trying it this way. The vise method is the best in my opinion. Until last night I had be doing the standard "wrap your figure in a cloth, position, and turn" vice method. The problem with that is the force of the vise ...

Custom Gi Joe Figure: Battle Damaged Trooper

Image
Battle Damage Custom Figure Bazooka Trooper So far I've made only two battle damaged custom gi joe figures , but plan to customize more. I thought it would be really cool to make a Bazooka Trooper who looks as if he's had a brutal run in with the Gi Joe team. As you can see, he's had a bad day at work for Cobra. Bazooka trooper has two gun shot wounds - one in the upper right arm and another in the upper left thigh. His knuckles are scrapped and bloody from hand to hand combat with Gi Joe and there is a cut above is left eye from a punch thrown by Roadblock. On the right side of his face he has a black eye which looks pretty realistic if I may say so myself. I don't know how this guy managed to escape. He must have lost his bazooka in the process because he's only blandishing a knife and a pistol. One thing is for certain - he's on tough dude. This custom figure is more or less considered a repaint since it is made up of Bazooka Trooper which is the o...
